The average family home contains thousands of items we don't really need, and living in all the clutter is making us miserable. But imagine if every single item in your home were laid out before you, so you could decide what to keep, and what to lose? This series sees Stacey Solomon call on a crack team of organising fanatics to help one family each week transform their messy home through a life-changing declutter and a budget-friendly makeover. Stacey and her gang (organizer Dilly, carpenter Rob and cleaner Iwan) challenge the Paine family to sort their life out in seven days, asking the family to let go of half their possessions. With Stacey's help, the family start packing all their possessions into boxes. Every single item is stripped from the family home revealing how much space there is under all their things, and the possessions are laid out like an art installation of their entire lives, including: 111 bottles of nail varnish, 80 packs of out-of-date medicine and over one thousand books. The family are shocked to see how much they really own and how it all fitted into their house in the first place. There are emotional moments as the family go through their most treasured items, and make some difficult decisions about what to let go of from their past. The items they do decide to let go of will be put into piles to recycle, donate or sell. At the house, carpenter Rob breathes new life into the home, with clever storage solutions including hidden bathroom cupboards. Cleaner Iwan gives the whole place a supersize spring clean, with lots of useful tips along the way, and organizer Dilly shows us all the best way to sort our kitchen cupboards and keep our wardrobes tidy.
