Documentary recalling Welshman Ron Jones's wartime experience as a prisoner of war in Auschwitz. Now nearly 100 years old, Ron talks to Joe Crowley about the regular home nations' football matches that took place alongside Auschwitz prison camp and recounts the horror he felt when he learned that his Jewish friend Joseph had been gassed in the infamous chambers. But it was his love for his childhood sweetheart Gwladys, to whom he regularly wrote letters, that kept Ron going.
